Ahavas Yisroel
- Am Yisroel, Toras Yisroel, Medinas Yisroel
As Jews, who benefit from the activities that take place in
Eretz Yisroel, we are mindful and respectful of the State of
Israel.
We seek to instill in our children the love of and appreciation for
Eretz Yisroel and Medinas Yisroel as central components
of Jewish life.
In addition, YBH has served Am Yisroel and the Passaic/Clifton
community
for over a century. While we are sensitive to the immediate needs of
the
demographics of our community, we have not forgotten about the community
at large. Respect for the individual underlies the attributes of
gemilus
chasidim and kiruv rechokim.
Toras Yisroel is the ultimate foundation of all of
yiddishkeit. It
supports each and every aspect of every second of the day - from
davening
and Limudei Kodesh in the morning through General Studies in the
afternoon and extends to the home and outside the home. We are proud
of the kiddush Hashem our students and graduates continually
make within
klal yisroel and the community at large.

A Closer Look:
YBH takes a "hands-on" approach to learning. At a very early stage,
our students are taught to be conscious of the concerns of Gedolei
Yisroel, and they are encouraged to take an active role in supporting
Medinas Yisroel. From pre-school to the upper grades, our students
can be found at City Hall flag-raising ceremonies, as well as at
assemblies recognizing Yom Ha'atzmaut, Yom Yerushalayim,
Yom Hazikaron,
and Yom HaShoah. Students participate in special assemblies where
various tefilos and tehillim are recited. Since many of these days
fall during y'mei sefira, the programs do not include music.
