Mrs. Hebel Bio

YBH-Hillel of Passaic is proud to have Mrs. Estee Hebel as its General Studies Principal.  Mrs. Hebel has impressive credentials as an administrator and educator.  She has built a successful track record of developing curricula, implementing innovative teaching models and ensuring that her programs address every child’s personal and academic needs.  Through her energetic leadership and her strong relationship building with our staff, parent body and students, she is already implementing her educational philosophy and vision at the yeshiva.

Mrs. Hebel was previously the General Studies Principal at Shalom Torah Academy, where she revised the entire general studies and special needs curricula, created benchmarks against New Jersey and national educational standards, enhanced the school’s extracurricular programs and created an enrichment track.  Prior to that she taught Navi, Jewish History and Chemistry, at Hillel Yeshiva of Ocean’s elementary and high schools and at the Jewish Foundation School.  Her warm and caring demeanor has had a lasting impact on her students and staff in every environment. 

Mrs. Hebel believes in lifelong learning and instills this value in her staff.  She is currently participating in a two-year Torah U’mesorah Principal’s Fellowship concentrating on teacher training and leadership. She has pursued post-master's and doctorate work in leadership, curriculum design and reading and was a graduate course instructor in Research in Education.  Mrs. Hebel holds a Master's Degree in Education from the University of New England and a Bachelor’s degree in Judaic Studies with a minor in Biology.
