Rabbi Leiner Bio

After his first full year as YBH's new principal, the excitement of the past year has only been tempered by amazement and respect for Rabbi Leiner's principled approach to the school's continual improvement and the palpable results of his tenure. Rabbi Leiner has earned both the respect and affection of faculty, staff, and parents for his warmth, sound judgment, and devotion to the Yeshiva.

Renowned as a master administrator, Rabbi Leiner brings to YBH a breadth of experience as a principal in both elementary and high schools. Equally important, he is celebrated as a warm and caring mechaneich and will devote individual attention to each child and focus on realizing his or her potential. Rabbi Leiner's former faculty members and students speak of him in glowing terms, with a warmth and respect for the sincerity, dedication, and professionalism that have become his trademark.

Rabbi Leiner is a Musmach of Rav Pam zt"l, and also earned an M.B.A. from Long Island University. His career as principal stretches over 25 years. He began as a Rebbe at Yeshiva Tiferes Elimelech in Brooklyn, and was soon promoted to Principal of General Studies, first in the Elementary School and then in the High School as well. His next position was as founding Menahel of Yeshiva Ateres Yaakov (South Shore High School), in Hewlitt, NY, where he remained for 13 years. Subsequently, he assumed the position of Principal in Yeshiva Toras Emes of Brooklyn, NY, where he was the Menahel of the High School for 4 years, and then took on the additional role as Menahel of the elementary division for the next two years. He has also had almost 20 years experience as a full-time Rebbe.

In addition to the breadth of his experience as a Principal and Rebbe, Rabbi Leiner has demonstrated his versatility and talent by assuming leadership roles in camp settings as well. He has 20 years of experience as Assistant Head Counselor (6 years), Head Counselor (12 years), and Director of Learning Programs (4 years) in Camp Torah Voda'as and Camp Rayim.

Rabbi Leiner has made an enormous impact on each of the Yeshivas he has led. One notable example is the transformation of Yeshiva Toras Emes High School, which has been widely credited to his leadership. During Rabbi Leiner's tenure at that school the level of learning was elevated substantially, and the Yeshiva developed a reputation of excellence that made it one of the most sought after Mesivtas in Brooklyn.

Rabbi Leiner has been impressed by the quality of YBH's students and faculty. Already excited by the level and intensity of learning in the Yeshiva, he is confident in the school's readiness to implement further significant growth initiatives. Inspired by Rabbi Leiner's leadership and amibition,the Yeshiva faculty and administration has eagerly joined Rabbi Leiner  in his mission to elevate  YBH to new horizons of growth and excellence.
